Talking Mats Training

Talking Mats is a fantastic tool to help people with understanding or speaking difficulties think about and express themselves on a range of topics.

For people with communication difficulties, telling people what they really want and how they feel about different aspects of their life, can be really hard. In fact, sadly, people are not always given the communication support needed to help them make their feelings known.

Talking Mats uses visual supports  (e.g. symbols, or photos) to help break down complex questions and enable people to express themselves.

Although it is based on simple principles, ‘listeners’ or facilitators need training to use the tool effectively – and this is where we come in.

 

Our Accredited Trainers offer Foundation Training, which takes place over 2 half day sessions. You can make considerable savings by purchasing  Talking Mats Resources at the same time.
