● Volunteer at some of our projects
● Share your professional expertise to help us improve
● Mentor one of our Supported Volunteers (people with disabilities)
● Book The Include Choir to perform at an event
● Fundraise for Include with a team of people from your organisation
● Follow Include’s social media, links to our socials are below
● Donate to Include through our website or payroll giving
● Partner with us to ensure your company’s resources are accessible
● Train in Inclusive Communication – training delivered by Include
● Offer a meeting or storage space (especially if you are based in Surrey!)
● Give items that we need – there is a list on the bottom of our donate page
Some of our partnerships
Ideal Digital
Include is working as part of the IDEAL Steering Group to help ensure that the needs of learners with a range of communication difficulties are considered within the project.
Inclusive digital pedagogy enhances the digital learning experience for all learners in higher-level education. It recognises that learners have diverse backgrounds and are differentiated by a range of characteristics. Inclusive digital pedagogy aims to make digital education accessible to all learners. Recognising and anticipating diverse needs when designing learning is an approach that encourages all learners to feel that the digital learning experience is open to them without having to ask to be included.
Communication Access UK
Communication Access UK is an initiative developed in partnership by charities and organisations that share a vision to improve the lives of people with communication difficulties.
Include share’s the aims of Communication Access UK, a national campaign to ensure that people with communication disability have the same access rights as people with physical or sensory disabilities.
Giving Voice
Giving Voice is the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) campaign to raise awareness of the value of speech and language therapists. Include is very much an active promoter of the campaign through all our work and Alix Lewer and Include have received 2 Giving Voice Awards.
CardMedic
We are charity partner to CardMedic, the award-winning communication tool designed to help overcome communication barriers between healthcare staff and patients – ultimately improving care and patient outcomes.
Include Founder and CEO Alix Lewer contributed to the initial development of an accessible version of the app, and our Champions Group continues to work with CardMedic to review content and provide feedback about accessibility. Read the full Blog
